B Twomey is an Australian abstract artist who creates bold canvas art from her Brisbane studio.B’s artwork is striking, inspired by colour, mood, emotion and season. Her artwork celebrates Australian life in bold colours and forms.Born and raised in Far North Queensland, Bernadette has traveled extensively in both Australia and overseas. This lived experience through place and the emotional memory of colour is reflected in her stunning, bright, bold art.

Bernadette studied digital multimedia at Southbank TAFE and used her portfolio from this diploma to secure a much coveted spot at Queensland University of Technology in a Bachelor of Creative Industries (Communication Design) in 2004.
Later stepping away from the digital aspect of visual art, Bernadette then used her creative mind to develop handmade art based products for her own wholesale business supplying over 130 Australian and New Zealand retail stores while she continued to paint her larger pieces for growing client base. Her large original art is now her main focus, selling online through her website, various retail outlets and galleries in Australia and the USA.

"Immersing myself in a painting creates two things, a deeply intricate outcome on the canvas and a wonderful simplification in my brain. Overthinking is eliminated once I have a brush in my hand and in an almost trance like state, I paint. New shapes emerge and new species of plant life are created as I fill the canvas with colour."
